How does one get accustomed, to losing my body, so to speak- its like, I'm only in my mid 40's, but at times I feel 60+, in fact, usually. I can't use my arms much, nor my hands- due to the nerves being pinched in my neck. And, because of my lower back- the 4th & 5th vertebraes; I can barely wallk, a lil' bit around the house, with a cane. ...But, usually; its the wheelchair, as well as for going any place- I can't 'walk' for any length of time.
See, I was soo athletic, and this sucks, man...in ways. But, in other ways, I have learned so much more about myself- and, am learning patience, hopefully, & that the world doesn't revolve around me!hee hee ...I have had a couple of generalized injections in my lower back, and in two days, I will have my first in-depth one, in my facet joints, where I have arthritis. I hope this helps, some. I think the last one did, I think that's why I can walk a teeny bit...now...? Anyways, thx for being out there; for the support.

what to do is basically what you are doing, and that is learning to live with it.

I have MD, and while not experiencing the same issues that you are, it's still a progressive complaint that is slowly sucking my life away. As things I could once do, I no longer can.

All I can say is you learn to live with it and develop new ways of doing things once you can no longer do it the way you used to.

Keep your chin up and focus on moving forward with your life, that's about all you can do.
