:dft009: Finally, We have a new van.
2009 Dodge GrandCaravan, 25th Anniversary
Color: Platinum
Stow'N'Go Seats

I had SureGrip Hand controls and a spinner knob installed on May 20.

I have driven around a few parking lots to get used to driving.

The van is, otherwise, not converted yet.

I decided that I would not worry about that yet. Right now I only have my learners license so I can't drive by myself anyway. I will worry about that when I need to.

I was given a set of hand controls a few years ago, When they were installed I tried them, but my shoulder started hurting quite a bit. So they did not work for me. I was able to give them to someone else, who had the same kind but needed to repair theirs.

The first time I was in the driver's seat my dog was with us. He kept looking back and forth, between Andrew and I. I think he was thinking that we were in the wrong seats.

My Dad, who used to teach driving, is giving me all kinds of advice. I will be taking professional driving lessons. ;)

The van sounds great.

All the best with it.

Thanks Pete

I am very excited about learning to drive. But I'm not rushing it. I'm also a bit nervous too.

Well, I have been learning to drive...... very slowly.

My husband, Andrew, has taken me out a few times over the summer. At that time it was mostly in parking lots.

My friend and I have been going out most Mondays, and I have driven on the street.

But the bad weather scares me some. My Dad and Andrew agree that it's best to learn in the winter...

I haven't started the driving lessons yet. I'm going to try for the new year.

it sounds like you're slowly gaining confidence and have progressed from parking lots to the streets.

It's best to learn how to handle all conditions summer and winter.

Keep up the good work.
