hiya
now that im going to china, im thinking about getting a travel powerchair, mostly for getting around airports and whatever - i know a few of you use them, so what do you think?

this is the one im looking at..... it has a small lithium battery...

While i don't use one myself, it looks quite good, it seems better than the little Invacare one (http://www.invacare.com/cgi-bin/imhqprd/inv_catalog/prod_cat.jsp?s=0&catOID=-536887499).

yeah, that invacare one isnt so little - its longer, wider and heavier than the valletta! you cant get them here, but i went to see one in the states last year, and they seem enormous... a width of 25.5" just wont cut it in ireland, let alone china. not much point in a travel chair i cant travel in. this one should fold up in the wheelchair closet they have on long flights, and im trying to find out if itll make the max dimensions to go in the overhead. there are other chairs im looking at, but i dont want anything with a seat wider than 16" (im 14"). and im a little worried about the vallettas seat depth of 15" (my manual is 18")

You should make a checklist of what you need, then call the dealers and ask which chairs they have that suits your needs.
